Operatic Tragedy

What is it about having a horrible hacking cough that makes me feel like some character from a tragic opera, dying of tuberculosis (but still able to belt out one last aria)?

I can't believe I have bronchitis this early in the season. I've sort of come to expect it every winter since I had a really bad bout in 2002, but I've never had it in October before. I'm sure it's this loopy weather we've been having, with 20 degree temp shifts from one day to the next, coupled with the cold Tessa vectored to me last week.

But man does it suck. Coughing is so debilitating, makes you use muscles you don't usually use, and makes sleep impossible. I've been trying to sleep on the couch, upright, but then Tessa wanders out looking for me because I'm not in bed as I should be. I guess it's just not right to her to only have Ross to kick and push all night long.

I'm just so tired of being sick, having been sick for a week now and the bronchitis just settling in. Plus it's my second major illness already since school started, which does not bode well for the rest of the winter.

(I finally come back to blog, and all it is is a whine that I don't feel good. Bleh)
